Superintending Engineer, Data Analysis Circle Nashik is working under Chief Engineer, Planning & Hydrology, Nashik. Final Validation and digitization of Collected Hydrometeorological Data and Water Quality Data using 'HYMOS & SWDES Computer Programs', Storage and dissemination of Validated Data at State Data Storage Centre, Nashik, Study of Upper Godavari Basin using 'River Basin Simulation Modelling Study Computer Program', Flood Study and Revised Flood Study for Major and Medium Project in Maharashtra is carried out, Dam Model Study, Dam backwater Study, Canal Discharge Measurement, Checking of Project proposals having estimated cost more than Rs. 25 Cr received at State Level Advisory Committee-SLTAC for getting administrative and revised administrative approvals under Water Resources, Department, Maharashtra (till date 340 numbers of proposals were checked), Examine the hydrological studies of the proposals received by the SLTAC for the Administrative Approval and Revised administrative Approval and Check the Hydrological Study of the proposal received under the Special Investigation Team on Irrigation, Checking of chapter No. 6 and consolidation of chapter 6,8 and 10 in Integrated State Water Plan, Website of Chief Engineer, Hydrology Project, Nashik has been developed in Hydrology Project Phase-I and presently Upgradation and maintenance of this website is carried out, etc is carried out under Superintending Engineer, Data Analysis Circle, Nashik.
Total Four Divisions are working under this Data Analysis Circle.
Brief Work Description under each division is as follows;
Final Validation of Rainfall Data, Max Temperature, Minimum Temperature, Dry and Wet bulb Temperature, etc Hydrometeorological Data Collected at Superintending Engineer, Data Collection Planning and Hydrology Circle, Nashik is carried out with the help of HYMOS (Hydrological Modeling System) and finally validated data is submitted to Indian Meteorological Department and Central Water Commission for Inter-Agency validation purpose. Afterwards, this data is sent to state Data Storage Centre (SDSCSDSC), Nashik for storage and dissemination. SDSC is working under this division.
Mainly following works are carried out under this division;
The Government has mandated water availability certificate before approving the new irrigation projects by, circular dated 24/12/2003. The Government has given the authority to Chief Engineer, Planning and Hydrology Nashik to give Water Availability Certificates to the dams of Large, Medium, Small Irrigation projects, KT Weir, Rural Development and Water conservation Department. Accordingly, proposals of water availability for the new proposed projects in prescribed performa received from the Regional Chief Engineers .As per the instructions dated 23rd March, 2000, Hydrology Projects office issues the Water Availability Certificate of proposed projects in 1) Godavari 2) Krishna and Bhima 3) West Flowing Rivers 4) Tapi 5) Narmada and 6) Mahanadi basins in Maharashtra. However, the government gives the authority to issue water availability certificates to Chief Engineer, Water Resources Department, Nagpur in 5 districts of Godavari basin.
This Division was previously under to Maharashtra Engineering Research Institure –MERI, Nashik. Afterwards, it got attached to Superintending Data Analysis Circle, Nashik as per Government Resolution dated on 14/01/2015. This Division has following duties..
